Sharvin Hajipur was presented the Grammy Award by America’s First Lady Jill Biden for her song “For”. He informed about his punishment on Instagram on Friday. Parliamentary elections were held in Iran on the same day. The court sentenced Hajipur to three years and eight months’ imprisonment on charges of “propaganda against the system” and “inciting people to protest.” The court found that the singer did not express proper remorse for airing the song, hence he was sentenced.
