Tel Aviv: Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant has said that the terrorist organization Hezbollah may attack Haifa, a city located in the northern region of the country. In a statement released on Tuesday, Gallant said this could incite war. He said that Hezbollah has 150,000 rockets and mortars and can easily fire 8,000 rockets a day. Gallant warned that Hezbollah could go further than what Hamas did on October 7, 2023. He said Hezbollah’s rockets are also more accurate, longer-range and more destructive.

‘Haifa and other cities may be harmed’

The Defense Minister also said that defense experts believe that even if Iron Dome maintained the rate of shooting down 80 to 90 percent of rockets, Haifa and some other cities could still suffer significant damage. Israeli defense officials still believe that their country can win such a war and that Hezbollah’s rocket stockpile can be completely destroyed within a few days or weeks by conducting airstrikes in Lebanon. However, experts also believe that Hezbollah’s rockets may initially cause damage to Haifa and some other cities.

IDF attacked Hezbollah’s observation post

The IDF said in a statement late Tuesday that its aircraft struck a Hezbollah command center and an observation post in the village of Khiyam in southern Lebanon. The statement also said that on Tuesday the Israeli Air Force struck Aita ash-Sha’ab and another observation post and building used by Hezbollah in Ma’habib. Hezbollah managed to fire only one rocket from Lebanon into the Arab al-Aramshe area, which did not cause any damage because it fell in an open area.

Hezbollah’s top commander was killed in a drone attack

Let us tell you that after the killing of top Hamas commander Saleh al-Arouri in a drone attack by Israel in southern Beirut, Hezbollah Chief Hassan Nasrallah had warned Israel that it would respond appropriately. But except for some minor skirmishes and minor missile attacks, the war has not progressed much so far. At the same time, Israel is continuously carrying out attacks in the Gaza Strip and the number of deaths is continuously increasing. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said on several occasions that the war will continue until Hamas is eliminated.
