Israel issued advisory after the blast outside the embassy
Jerusalem: The Israeli National Security Council issued a travel advisory for its citizens in India and expressed suspicion that the blast near the Israeli Embassy in New Delhi on Tuesday “could be a terrorist attack.” Israel’s Embassy in Chanakyapuri, Delhi An explosion took place near Israel on Tuesday evening and a letter addressed to the Israeli Ambassador in “indecent” language was recovered from the spot. Officials said there were no casualties in the incident.

Regarding the explosion, Israeli Embassy spokesman Guy Nir said, “We can confirm that there was an explosion near the embassy at approximately 5:48 pm.” Delhi Police and security team are still investigating the situation. The Israeli National Security Council (NSC) has issued a travel advisory in view of this incident. Israeli citizens have been advised to avoid going to crowded places (malls or markets) and not to go to places that are in any way associated with Jews or Israelis.
Avoid attending large scale events
The advisory includes avoiding displaying Israeli symbols, avoiding attending large-scale events, and avoiding providing travel information or sharing travel photos or travel details on social media. It has been asked to show where you are currently.
Israel’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday that there were no injuries in the blast. The ministry had said, “Local authorities are investigating the incident and Israeli security forces are supporting them.” A senior police officer said that the explosions took place in the Green Belt outside the Central Hindi Training Institute located near the embassy. Soon after, Delhi Police Special Cell team, bomb disposal squad and fire brigade personnel reached the spot. Later a team of National Investigation Agency (NIA) also inspected the spot.
