Why is India important for Maldives
Due to the wrong actions of the Maldivian government, Indian tourists got their tickets booked for Maldives cancelled. Let us tell you that more than two lakh Indians visit this island country every year. In the year 2020, 63 thousand Indian tourists visited Maldives, while in 2021 this figure increased to 2 lakh 93 thousand. 2 lakh 41 thousand tourists have gone there in the year 2022, and 1 lakh 93 thousand tourists by 2023.

Israel has made a big announcement amid the tension between Maldives and India. The Israeli Embassy in India has made a post on the social media platform ‘X’. It said that it is ready to work on the project to develop Lakshadweep as a tourist destination. For this he had visited Lakshadweep a year ago also. It can be said that even though the pictures of Lakshadweep have just arrived, the Centre’s efforts to establish it as the best island in the world may already be going on.
Water plants will be set up in Lakshadweep
India’s friend Israel will remove impurities from salt water and convert it into clean water through desalination process in Lakshadweep. This will completely eliminate the problem of clean and fresh water, which is very important for any tourist spot. During his visit to Israel in 2017, PM Modi had seen very modern technology there. After this, this process was also discussed for Lakshadweep and Andaman. In fact, desalination plants started being built in Maldives only in the nineties. However, even now the needs of tourists are fulfilled with the help of this technology. A lot of work is done by collecting rain water.
50 percent of water in Israel is cleaned
Israel, facing drought due to desert area, came out with a unique technology a few years ago. He started making the salt water of the sea sweet through desalination. There are five big plants here, which clean more than 50 percent of the water reaching every corner of Israel.
