Jaishankar meets British Foreign Minister David Cameron and USA’s Antony Blinken in Munich – India TV Hindi

Munich: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Friday discussed bilateral cooperation as well as global and regional issues with his British counterpart David Cameron on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference in Germany. Apart from this, he also met his American counterpart Antony Blinken. After meeting the US Foreign Minister, Jaishankar wrote in his social media post that it was great to meet his American friend Blinken on the occasion of the Munich conference. Our conversations focused on the situation in West Asia, Ukraine and the Indo-Pacific. During this, we reviewed the ongoing progress in bilateral relations.

Let us tell you that Jaishankar has come here to participate in the 60th edition of the prestigious Munich Security Conference, which calls itself the world’s leading forum for debate on international security. He will participate in a panel discussion on ‘Growing the Pie: Seizing Shared Opportunities’, which will also be addressed by German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Saturday. Jaishankar posted on ‘X’ along with a picture of the meeting, saying, “I started my discussion at the Munich Security Conference by meeting British Foreign Minister David Cameron.” A good discussion on our bilateral cooperation as well as global and regional issues.

India-England match was also mentioned to Cameron

Referring to the India vs England Test match in Rajkot, Gujarat, the minister said, “We also exchanged views on the ongoing cricket match.” Before meeting Cameron, Jaishankar met Peruvian Foreign Minister Javier Gonzalez-Olachea. Also met and talked about UN reforms and economic cooperation. Jaishankar is also scheduled to participate in a ministerial luncheon discussion titled ‘World Friends: Bridging Divides’ at the Munich Security Conference on Saturday. The session, jointly organized by the Indian Embassy and the Observer Research Foundation (ORF), included Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia Faisal bin Farhan, former Prime Minister of Canada Stephen Harper, Executive Vice-President of the European Commission EU Fit for Digital Age Margrethe Vestager and Harvard Kennedy The school’s Professor Meghan O’Sullivan will also attend.
