Russia India Foreign Minister: The fierce war between Russia and Ukraine has not ended even in the New Year. Amid this war, important talks have taken place between the foreign ministers of India and Ukraine. Many important issues were discussed between Indian Foreign Minister Jaishankar and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kuleba.

According to reports, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar on Wednesday held “productive” talks with his Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba on ways to take forward bilateral relations and exchanged views on the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. This conversation between the two leaders took place over phone a few days after Jaishankar’s recent five-day visit to Russia.

Mutual relations will get a new direction: Jaishankar

“A productive conversation today with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba,” the foreign minister said on social media app ‘X’. Discussed taking forward our bilateral cooperation in the coming year. “Exchanged views on the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.” At the same time, Kuleba said that he informed his Indian counterpart about the “peace formula” and Ukraine’s plan for a “global peace summit” of leaders.

“I informed my counterpart about the recent increase in Russian terror and large-scale air strikes that have caused civilian suffering and loss of life,” he said in a post on X. “We discussed further cooperation on the peace formula,” he said. In this regard, I informed my counterpart about Ukraine’s approach to the Global Peace Summit of Leaders.”

Consent reached for the first meeting after 2018

“We agreed to hold the first meeting of the India-Ukraine Intergovernmental Commission since 2018 in the near future,” Kuleba said. “The rejuvenation of this primary mechanism of our bilateral relations will allow us to jointly move forward in a comprehensive manner,” the Ukrainian Foreign Minister added.
