According to the information, 10 policemen have been killed in a terrorist attack on a police station in Dera Ismail Khan, Pakistan. Sleeping policemen were attacked at 3 am
Police said that terrorists attacked the police station in Tehsil Darban of the district at 3 am with heavy weapons. After the attack, the terrorists also managed to free some of their comrades. While returning, they also looted the weapons kept in the police station.
Terrorists fired and threw grenades
According to the report, the attack was carried out late at night when most of the policemen of the police station were sleeping. The terrorists opened sniper fire before the attack and then entered Chaudhavan police station. They fired indiscriminately at the policemen posted at the police station. Deputy Superintendent of Police Anisul Hasan has said that the terrorists also threw several hand grenades at the police station. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inspector General of Police Akhtar Hayat confirmed the incident and the number of casualties.
Police busy searching for terrorists
Traffic was stopped on the roads leading to South Waziristan Tribal District, Tank and Dera Ghazi Khan immediately after the attack. Many police teams are searching for terrorists on a large scale. It is believed that Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan may be behind this attack, although no terrorist group has yet claimed responsibility for it.
