‘Our government for at least the next 15 years…’, Jaishankar’s big statement in Japan – India TV Hindi

Tokyo: Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar said on Friday that our government in India will remain stable for 15 years or more. He described long-term political stability as essential for good governance. The Foreign Minister said this at the Nikkei Forum organized on India-Japan Special Strategic Partnership in Tokyo. Let us tell you that preparations are going on for general elections in India. In this, approximately 96 crore voters are ready to exercise their franchise. Jaishankar said in response to a question, ‘100 percent we will have a stable government for 15 years or more.’

‘…and I am confident for the next decade also’

Jaishankar underlined the importance of reformist and visionary leadership with a concrete mandate. Praising his government, the Foreign Minister said that it is capable of taking good and difficult decisions. Describing the importance of political stability for economic development and investment, the External Affairs Minister said that the business world today gives importance to political stability. He said that for him political stability means policy stability. The minister said, ‘Fortunately, there has been political stability in our country for a decade, and I am confident about the next decade also.’

Jaishankar is in Japan on a 3-day visit

Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar reiterated on this occasion that India and Japan are deepening their relations today. He said that both the countries have identified further avenues to enhance bilateral cooperation. External Affairs Minister Jaishankar is on a 3-day visit to Japan from March 6-8 to enhance and intensify bilateral cooperation. On Thursday, he addressed the 16th India-Japan Foreign Ministers Strategic Dialogue with his Japanese counterpart Yoko Kamikawa and participated in the first Raisina Round Table Conference.
