Islamabad: After the Pakistan elections, the confusion that was going on for the last 4 days regarding the results has finally become clear. The Election Commission of Pakistan has declared the final results of the general elections on Sunday. After this official announcement of Pakistan Election Commission, it is interesting for everyone to know how many seats have come to the account of which party. This time the candidates of Imran Khan’s party PTI have contested the elections as independent candidates. Till now the same independent candidates were leading in the trends. However, allegations of rigging on the part of Imran were also made in the election results and voting. But now the results have come out.

According to the Election Commission of Pakistan, no single party has got a clear majority in the results released. According to the Election Commission’s announcement, independent candidates supported by the party of jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan have won 101 seats. At the same time, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) of three-time former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has technically emerged as the largest party in the Parliament by winning 75 seats. Bilawal Zardari Bhutto’s Pakistan People’s Party got 54 seats, while the Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P), the group of Urdu-speaking people who came from India during partition, got 17 seats.

No party in Pakistan is in a position to form government

Small parties have also won 12 seats in Pakistan. The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has declared the results of 264 out of 265 contested seats. The unusual delay in announcing the results of Thursday’s election led to ruckus and protests across the country by several parties. The result of NA-88 seat in Khushab of Punjab province was withheld by ECP due to complaints of fraud and will be declared after redressal of the grievances of the victims. The election on one seat was postponed after the death of a candidate. Independent candidates have secured 101 seats in the National Assembly. Most of these were supported by Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). A party will need 133 seats to form the government. But at present no party is in this position. (Language)
