Lahore: Maryam Nawaz’s journey to become the Chief Minister of Punjab province in Pakistan was not easy. He has told all the things that he had to go through to reach this position. Maryam has told what she had to do to become the Chief Minister. Maryam Nawaz is the daughter of former Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif. He said on Friday that he had to work hard for more than a decade to make a place for himself in the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) party.

Maryam said that her journey was not easy at all. Whereas she has become the Chief Minister as the leader of the party formed by her father. Maryam is the first woman to hold the post of Chief Minister of any province of Pakistan. “Historically, this has been a male-dominated party, so I had to work hard for 12-13 years to make a place for myself,” she said in Lahore on the occasion of International Women’s Day. Because it was not at all easy to reach this position in this party dominated by men.

Became CM of Punjab on 26 February

“But today I am here, so this is a message to every woman, mother and daughter that if you want to do something, being a woman should not be a hindrance in achieving your dreams,” Dawn newspaper reported. Maryam (50) is considered the political successor of Nawaz Sharif. Maryam took oath as the Chief Minister of Punjab on 26 February. (Language)
