According to the information, top leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz i.e. PML-N Nawaz Sharif has created controversy by presiding over three government meetings of the Punjab government. The point is that he does not hold any position in the provincial or federal government. Sharif, a three-time Prime Minister of Pakistan, was not seen in public since the general elections held last month.

According to the news of Pakistani media ‘Dawn’ newspaper, Nawaz Sharif on Monday presided over three meetings of the Punjab government led by his daughter Maryam Nawaz. A statement issued after the meeting said Nawaz Sharif issued instructions to ministers and officials regarding various infrastructure projects including underground trains and metro buses, plight of farmers, electric bikes for students and Ramadan relief package. Sharif’s chairmanship of these meetings is also raising many questions, because he does not hold any official position in the provincial or federal government and is only a member of the National Assembly.
