PM Modi’s visit to UAE and Qatar concludes, know what is special about his visit to both the Gulf countries – India TV Hindi

Couplet: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Qatar concluded on Thursday. Whereas the trip to UAE was completed even before this. PM Modi left for Qatar after inaugurating the Swami Narayan Temple in UAE. He said India looks forward to enhancing cooperation with the Gulf country in key areas such as trade, investment, technology and culture. The visit came days after the Qatar government released eight former Indian Navy personnel who were sentenced to death following their arrest in August 2022. This was the Prime Minister’s second visit to Qatar. Earlier he had reached Qatar in June 2016. Modi held wide-ranging talks with Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.

The talks mainly focused on advancing India-Qatar relations in the areas of trade, energy, investment and new technology. “My visit to Qatar has added a new dimension to India-Qatar relations,” Modi posted on his official ‘X’ handle along with a 1:24-minute video of his events in the Gulf country. India looks forward to enhancing cooperation in key areas related to trade, investment, technology and culture. “Had a fruitful meeting with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani,” he posted on Instagram along with photos of the meeting. We reviewed the full range of India-Qatar relations and discussed ways to deepen cooperation in various fields. Both countries also look forward to cooperating in future areas.

India-Qatar relations strengthened

In another post along with pictures of his ceremonial welcome in Doha, Modi said, “Relations between India and Qatar are going from strength to strength!” External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal described the meeting between Modi and the emir as ‘ “Meaningful” and said the Prime Minister thanked the Qatari leader for the welfare of the Indian community in that country. Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra said at a press conference that Modi thanked the emir for his support for the welfare of the Indian community in the Gulf country. “The Prime Minister thanked the Amir for his support for the welfare of the Indian community and, in this regard, expressed his appreciation for the release of eight Indian nationals from Al-Dahra Company,” Kwatra said.
