It is noteworthy that people of the Indian community living in Singapore will celebrate Diwali on Sunday. According to the report of The Straits Times newspaper, Mountbatten Residents Network (RN) has put up this banner. In which people were asked to clean up after Diwali celebrations.

Mountbatten MP Lim Biow Chuan said the anti-litter banner was put up by the RN. The National Environment Agency (NEA) has supported it. It will be removed to avoid misunderstanding. “That banner was a grassroots initiative by RN because they see large amounts of garbage left after Diwali celebrations every year,” Lim said.
