Sandstorm occurred in many parts of China.
China is being hit by natural disasters. The sand storm has wreaked havoc here. In China’s Xinjiang province, it has become difficult for people to even leave their homes. Here in many areas the stormy winds wreaked such havoc that everything became blurry. Even the vehicles running on the road were not visible. The ferocity of the sandstorm can be gauged from the fact that many trees were uprooted along with their roots due to these winds. During this time some trees were also seen flying in the wind. The whole sky turned orange. Thousands of people were trapped in different parts of Xinjiang province due to the sandstorm. After which the police rescued the people and took them to a safe place.
People stranded at many places
The sandstorm damaged vehicles in Turpan, Xinjiang, while several travelers were also stranded on the road due to low visibility caused by the sandstorm, according to a report by Beijing-based CGTN news channel. The report also said that on the morning of 17 February, Hami city was covered in haze, while the sky was covered with sand and dust. Apart from Xinjiang, cities in Shaanxi province, including its capital Xi’an, were covered in dust, while sandstorms in Jiuquan city of Gansu province closed national highways, leaving travelers stranded on the roads.
China is facing disaster
The troubles for the people of China are not showing any sign of abating. On one hand, the sand storm has wreaked havoc, on the other hand, people in many areas of China are facing heavy snowfall. China’s meteorological department had issued 3 alerts. Earlier it was told that the temperature is going to fall soon in many parts of the country. In the second alert it was said that heavy snowfall may be seen in some parts. In the third, there was a possibility of sand storm.
