Mogadishu: Security forces have claimed to have killed the extremists who attacked a hotel in Somalia. Security forces say they have killed all five attackers who laid siege to a hotel in a normally safe area of the capital. Police spokesman Qassim Roble said on Friday that three soldiers were killed and 27 others were wounded in the attack on the SYL hotel in Mogadishu on Thursday night. Now its revenge has been taken.
Somalia’s extremist group al-Shabaab said on Telegram on Thursday that its fighters had managed to enter the hotel, which is not far from the presidential palace. This hotel enjoys the patronage of government officials. “The situation is now calm, the hotel is now safe, and MLAs and other hotel residents are beginning to return,” police spokesman Qasim Roble said. The security situation has returned to normal.” After the siege ended, reporters were barred from entering the hotel.
