Sharif family taking revenge selectively? Former ISI Chief’s brother arrested on corruption charges – India TV Hindi

Lahore: Even though a government has been formed in Pakistan under the leadership of Shehbaz Sharif after the elections, the period of political turmoil continues even today. According to information given by anti-corruption officers, the brother of former ISI Chief Lieutenant General Faiz Hamid was arrested on corruption charges in Pakistan’s Punjab province. The arrest of Hamid’s brother is being seen as a retaliatory action by the new government of Pakistan. Let us tell you that the new government has opened a front against the officials who are targeting the Sharif family in the government led by Imran Khan.

Government is taking revenge for the action taken against Nawaz Sharif!

A spokesperson of the Anti-Corruption Unit (ACE) said, ‘Revenue officer Najaf Hamid, brother of former ISI chief Faiz Hamid, was arrested from Chakwal on Monday on charges of corruption and abuse of power.’ The spokesperson said that the suspect will be produced before a magistrate to be taken on remand. Hamid is a resident of Chakwal and his arrest is being described as action by the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) against those responsible for ousting Nawaz Sharif from power in 2017. Let us tell you that Faiz Hamid was the Director General of Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI from 16 June 2019 to 19 November 2021.

Maryam Sharif had vocally raised the issue of action
