Tension increased in the Middle East

Houthi Rebels: Amidst the war between Israel and Hamas, America and Britain are continuously attacking Yemen. America and Britain on Saturday attacked 18 positions of Houthi rebels in Yemen. The strikes were carried out in response to recent increasing attacks on ships in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden by local Iran-backed militias.

Houthi rebels launched a missile attack last week that caused a fire on a cargo ship. US officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, said US and British fighter planes carried out strikes at eight locations, targeting missiles, launchers, rockets, drones and air defense systems. This is the fourth time US and UK forces have launched a joint operation against the Houthi rebels since January 12.

Continuous attacks on Houthi rebels

Apart from this, America is also attacking Houthi rebels almost daily. Officials said the ‘US F/A-18’ fighter planes were launched from the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower aircraft carrier. This ship is currently in the Red Sea. “The United States will not hesitate to take action as necessary to protect the free flow of life and commerce in the Red Sea, one of the world’s most vital waterways,” US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said.

Resolved that military operations will continue

We will continue to make it clear to the Houthis that if they do not end their unjustified attacks, they will face consequences.” The Houthis condemned “US and Britain’s aggression” and vowed to continue military operations in response. Took a resolution. “The strikes specifically targeted 18 Houthi rebel positions in eight locations across Yemen,” the US, Britain and their allies said in a statement.
