Tokyo: Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar has exposed the deceitful China on the international stage. Exposing the vicious China, he said that Dragon has nothing to do with the concerns of the countries of the Global South. He does not even attend the meetings organized to discuss their concerns. Jaishankar said that the countries of the ‘Global South’ have faith in India. Emphasizing India’s leadership in the Global South, he said on Friday that 125 countries of this forum have expressed their confidence in India. He also said that China did not attend two meetings called by India last year to consider the concerns of the Global South.
Addressing the ‘Nikki Forum’ on India-Japan partnership, India’s top diplomat said that the countries of the ‘Global South’ are sympathetic towards each other on many issues. The term ‘Global South’ is commonly used to refer to economically less developed countries. Jaishankar said, “These countries sympathize with each other on many issues. This feeling was heightened by Covid, as many countries in the Global South felt they were at the back of the queue to receive the vaccine. Even when India became the chair of the G20, they felt that their concerns were not even on the agenda of the G20.” He said, ”So we held two meetings with the leaders of the Global South, because we wanted to hear the voices of these 125 countries. And then presented many issues before the G20, which were the collective views of these 125 countries.
They also know who is raising the voice of the Global South.
Jaishankar said that the countries of the ‘Global South’ know what is really happening, who is speaking for them and how their issues are being discussed. Jaishankar said, “He does not believe that it is a mere coincidence that the African Union got membership of the G20 under the chairmanship of India. That’s why the Global South trusts us,” he said, referring to Chinese President Xi Jinping’s absence from the G20 summit. “The two summits we held last year to listen to their (Global South’s) concerns I don’t think China was present in it.
When asked a question on Russia-Ukraine war, Jaishankar gave an amazing answer
On India’s relations with Russia and its criticism of the war in Ukraine, the External Affairs Minister said, “Many times in world politics, countries choose an issue, a position, a principle and they emphasize it because it suits them. Is favorable. But if one looks at the principles, we in India know better than any other country.” He said, ”Soon after getting independence, we saw invasions, attempts were made to change our borders and in fact even today India’s Some parts are occupied by another country, but we have not seen the world saying that let us all support India. Jaishankar said, “Today we are being told that this is a matter of principles.
I wish I had seen this theory 80 years ago. I have seen these principles being used arbitrarily.” He said, ”I would say that we were treated unfairly. I am not advocating that this should be done to everyone. Our stand has been very clear. My Prime Minister, standing next to President Vladimir Putin, has said that we want to see this conflict end.
