Even before this, the world has seen the strength of the Indian Navy many times from the Gulf of Aden to the Red Sea.

Let us tell you that on March 06, Houthis launched a missile attack on a Barbados-flagged cargo ship in the Gulf of Aden. After this, the Indian warship ‘INS Kolkata’ safely rescued 21 crew members including an Indian citizen from that ship. Vivek Madhwal, a Navy spokesperson, said on Thursday that the commercial ship ‘MV True Confidence’ caught fire on Wednesday due to the missile attack, due to which the crew members had to jump from the ship and run away.

Boat and helicopter were used to rescue the crew members.

As soon as information about the attack on the ship in the Gulf of Aden was received, INS Kolkata, deployed for maritime security operations, reached the spot at 4.45 pm. During this, the Navy, showing indomitable courage, used its helicopters and boats and rescued 21 crew members including an Indian citizen. After this, the medical team on the warship itself provided vital medical aid to the injured. The seriously injured were evacuated to Djibouti by INS Kolkata along with the rescued crew. Indian Navy warships responded quickly in the Gulf of Aden. Due to which the lives of 21 members could be saved. The Barbados-flagged cargo ship was reportedly hit by a missile about 55 nautical miles southwest of Aden, resulting in a fire on board.
