64 people injured in firing

Koch told news agency Reuters that 52 local people, including women, children and police officers, were killed in the attack. Apart from this, 64 people were injured. He said that considering the current situation, it has created fear and panic. Due to this, curfew has been imposed in the area. The United Nations Interim Security Force in Abyei (UNISFA) said on Sunday that a Ghanaian peacekeeper from the UN force in Abyei was killed in an attack on his base in the city of Agok amid violence.

Peacemaker dies while being taken to hospital

UNISFA said on Monday that a day later in the violence, a second Pakistani peacekeeper was killed and four of his colleagues and a civilian were injured while taking civilians from a UNISFA base to hospital. Koch said hundreds of displaced civilians had sought refuge at the UNICEF base.
