PM Modi inaugurated the first Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi of the United Arab Emirates i.e. UAE on Wednesday. BAPS Swami Narayan Temple has been completed in a grand manner. On this occasion, top leaders of UAE including actor Akshay Kumar, singer Shankar Mahadevan etc. also reached Abu Dhabi. PM Modi inaugurated the temple on Wednesday evening and also offered prayers at the temple along with all the necessary rituals. Sheikh Zayed won the hearts of 140 crore Indians- PM Modi
In his address in Abu Dhabi, PM Modi said that today is Basant Panchami. This is the festival of Mother Saraswati. She is the goddess of consciousness. Who has given us the understanding to implement values like cooperation, coordination and harmony in life. I hope the temple will also welcome spring for a better future for humanity. It will become a symbol of communal harmony and global unity for the entire world. PM Modi further said that the biggest support in building this temple is from my brother Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed. UAE has fulfilled the wishes of crores of Indians with such a big budget. He has won the hearts of 140 crore Indians.
Now UAE is not just Burj Khalifa but…
PM Modi said in his address that when I presented the wishes of the people of India to Sheikh Zayed, he immediately accepted my proposal. Made land available for it and solved every problem arising under its cover. He showed us two models of the temple. The saints said that whatever model the UAE government accepts will be right. But the UAE government said that the temple should not only be built, but should also look like that. This temple should be built with full pride. This feeling of brotherhood with India is indeed our great asset. The grandeur of the temple is a reflection of the grand vision of Sheikh Mohammed. The UAE, which till now was known only for Burj Khalifa, has now added another new cultural chapter to its heritage.
Temple is a symbol of common heritage of humanity- PM Modi
PM Modi said that I along with all of you give a standing ovation to the President of UAE. I also express my heartfelt gratitude to the people of UAE for their cooperation. The friendship between India and UAE is today seen throughout the world as an example of mutual cooperation and trust. India does not see these relationships only in the present relationship, for us these roots of relationships are thousands of years old. This temple has filled us with new cultural energy. It is not just a place of worship. It is a symbol of the common heritage of humanity. It is also a symbol of the relationship between India and UAE.
I am a worshiper of Mother India – PM Modi
PM Modi said that this temple is a symbol of the grace of Lord Swami Narayan. I congratulate all the devotees from India and abroad. Friends, this is the time of India’s immortality. This is also the time of immortality for our civilization and culture. Just last month, the age-old dream of a grand Ram temple in Ayodhya was fulfilled. Ramlala is seated in his building. The whole of India and every Indian is still immersed in that love, that feeling. PM Modi said that just now my friend Swami ji was saying that Modi ji is the greatest priest. I don’t know whether I am qualified to be a temple priest or not, but I take pride in the fact that I am a priest of Maa Bharati. Every moment of the time that God has given me and every particle of the body that He has given me is only for Maa Bharati. 140 crore countrymen are my worshipable gods.
PM Modi also spoke on Ayodhya
In Abu Dhabi, PM Modi also mentioned the Ram temple of Ayodhya. PM Modi said that his immense joy in Ayodhya was further enhanced by the wave of happiness he received in Abu Dhabi. It is my good fortune to have witnessed the grand Ram temple first in Ayodhya and now in Abu Dhabi. Scholars explain the same God and the same truth in different ways. This philosophy is part of the basic consciousness of India. Therefore, by nature we not only accept everyone, but also welcome everyone. PM Modi said that along with Hindu religion, stories from Egypt and Bible are engraved on the walls of this temple in UAE. As soon as one enters it one sees unity.
UAE also gave land for hospital for Indians- PM Modi
PM Modi said in his address that I want to give another good news from this grand and holy place. Today the Vice President and President of UAE have announced to provide land to build a hospital for Indians. For this I heartily welcome him and Sheikh Zayed. Our temples have been centers of education and resolutions. We announce from the temples that there should be goodwill among living beings and welfare of the world. There we also learn Samastha Tu Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. That means the entire earth is our family. We have made this a reality in the G-20. India is working with the vision of Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah, Sarve Santu Niramayah.
