The White House has informed that Israel has agreed to a 4-hour ‘humanitarian pause’ in the fighting in northern Gaza to allow the evacuation of civilians. The Biden administration has said that it has secured another route for the evacuation of citizens. This information was given by news agency AP on Thursday (9 November).
According to the report, US President Joe Biden During Monday’s call, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was asked to impose a daily pause.

According to AP, US National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said that the first humanitarian pause would be announced on Thursday. Kirby said that Israel has committed to announcing each four-hour window at least three hours in advance.
He said Israel was also opening a second corridor for the evacuation of civilians from areas that are the current focus of its military campaign against Hamas, with a coastal road connecting to the area’s main North-South Highway.
Biden had asked to stay for more than three days
Biden also told reporters that he had asked the Israelis to desist (from carrying out attacks) for more than three days during talks regarding the release of people held hostage by Hamas.
However, Biden had ruled out the possibility of a general ceasefire. Asked if he was disappointed by Netanyahu’s delay in launching the humanitarian pause, he said: “It took a little longer than I expected.”
More than 12 thousand deaths so far
According to Al Jazeera’s report, Israel has launched several attacks on the Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank, due to which at least 10 Palestinians have been killed and 16 people have been injured.
The Al-Qassim Brigades, the military wing of the extremist group Hamas, said it was confronting Israeli forces as they tried to advance into Gaza.
On October 7, Hamas suddenly attacked southern Israel, after which the war between the two sides is going on. Israel is continuously carrying out airstrikes against Hamas and raids are also being carried out at the ground level through the action of tanks, armored vehicles and infantry.
According to Al Jazeera, at least 10,812 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks in Gaza since the beginning of the war. At the same time, more than 1,400 Israelis have died in Hamas attacks during the same period.
