Russia Ukraine War News: Russia and Ukraine war continues even after two years. In the latest case, Ukraine has strongly attacked Russia. Ukraine has claimed to have sunk another Russian warship. According to CNN report, the Ukrainian Army on Tuesday claimed that it had launched a powerful drone attack in the Black Sea and successfully sunk another Russian warship.

Russian navies are facing continuous conflict in the Black Sea. On the other hand, Kiev has reduced its navy by one third since the beginning of the war. Ukraine’s defense intelligence agency said its maritime drones sank the 1,300-ton Russian patrol vessel Sergei Kotov in the Black Sea near the Kerch Strait, which separates occupied Crimea from the coast of southwestern Russia.

This ship was attacked earlier also

“The Russian ship Project 22160 ‘Sergei Kotov’ suffered damage to the ship and port side due to the attack by a Magura V5 maritime drone,” Ukrainian Defense Intelligence said in a statement. Due to this the ship caught fire. The Ukrainian military later claimed that the ship had been sunk, according to CNN. Ukrainian Defense Intelligence Agency representative Andrey Yusov said the Sergei Kotov ship had been targeted before. But this time the Sergei Kotov ship has been definitely destroyed.

Ukrainian drones have caused a lot of damage to Russia in recent times.

According to CNN report, Ukraine has caused heavy damage to Russian naval ships with maritime drones in its recent war with Russia. Especially in the last few months, Russia has suffered the most in the Black Sea War. Last month the Russian landing ship Caesar Kunikov was attacked with the same drones that were used against Sergei Kotov. The Ukrainian military intelligence agency said on Telegram that the drone had struck the Russian ship and left a large “hole” in it before sinking it.

Earlier, in February, Ukraine had claimed that its military had disabled about 33 percent of Russia’s warships. These include 24 ships and one submarine. Russia’s worst naval loss in the war was the sinking of the guided-missile cruiser Moskva in April 2022.
