World War II Era Blimp Hangar Asbestos Found: A World War II-era blimp hangar burned down last Tuesday (November 7) in Southern California, America. Let us tell you that blimp hangars were used to keep big airplanes. After the burning of this blimp hangar, asbestos was found in the ashes, after which a decision was taken to close the park school in California.

Asbestos is a type of material which does not catch fire. It is a form of naturally occurring silicate. This material is found in rocks. Due to its non-flammable properties, this fibrous material is used in the construction sector. These materials are not soluble, due to which they can remain in the lungs for a long time and even after entering the body, their fibers can cause lung cancer.

Incident in Tustin, Southern California
Asbestos was found in preliminary samples of ash and debris after a historic World War II-era blimp hangar burned down in Tustin, Southern California. After this, at least nine parks in Tustin were closed. People living near the wreckage were warned to stay away from the ashes of the blimp hangar. For this he was instructed to reduce outdoor activities.

Tustin city administration has declared a state of emergency in the entire city. The main reason for this is that asbestos can pollute the air of the city. Administrative officials issued an announcement saying that asbestos could pose a danger to the common people. For this, it is mandatory for the administration to take necessary steps.

Safety of children studying is important
Tustin city officials said in a statement that the Southern California Air Quality Regulation Board will continue to analyze samples from areas around the hangar to monitor for toxic gases and harmful metals. Schools in the Tustin Unified School District, about 35 miles (56 kilometers) southeast of Los Angeles, were closed Thursday to ensure the safety of students. A fire broke out early Tuesday in a huge wooden hangar, one of two hangars built by the US Navy in 1942 to house army blimps. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
