Maoists killed a tribal youth in Bokaro.
Ranchi: In Jharkhand, Maoists have once again committed a heart-wrenching incident. According to reports, late on Tuesday night in Chatro Chatti police station area of Bokaro district of the state, Maoists killed a tribal man on the charges of police informer. The killed person has been identified as Sukhram Manjhi, 35, resident of Dandara village of Chute Panchayat. Manjhi’s body was recovered by the police on Wednesday morning. It is being told that Sukhram Manjhi had been a ward member of Gram Panchayat.
Manjhi was taken away from home and killed
According to the information received, a squad of Maoists reached Sukhram Manjhi’s house late on Tuesday night and arrested him. The Maoists took Manjhi a short distance away and killed him by slitting his throat. After this the Maoists threw Manjhi’s body near the forest department quarters. It is being told that while carrying out the incident, they also raised slogans like stop informing on the police. By leaving a leaflet at the spot, the Naxalites have taken responsibility for the incident and it is written in the leaflet that whoever informs the police will face the same fate.
CPI (Maoist) took responsibility for the murder
CPI (Maoist) has taken responsibility for the murder of Sukhram Manjhi and has accused him of being an informer against the Maoists. Let us tell you that for some time Sukhram Manjhi used to run a chicken shop in the village itself. According to reports, the police had received information about Manjhi’s murder on Tuesday night itself, but due to it being a Naxal-affected area, the police did not go to the spot at that time. On Wednesday, police recovered Manjhi’s body and sent it for postmortem.
