Failed with first two marks, then became a topper in the next attempt, this was how Akshat’s UPSC journey was.

Success Story Of IAS Akshat Jain: Even the best ones struggle to get success in UPSC exam. Lakhs of candidates appear for this examination every year, which is considered to be one of the toughest exams not only in the country but also in the world and only a few achieve their dreams. In such a situation, if your parents have cleared the exam then this pressure increases a bit more. Same thing happened with 2018 topper Akshat Jain. In his first attempt, Akshat could not qualify the pre exam by just two marks but he handled this failure very intelligently.

Become a topper next year

Both of Akshat’s parents are civil servants. It is obvious that when you come from such a family, the burden of expectations from those around you increases further. Similar was the case with Akshat also. When he missed two marks in the first attempt, everyone could not bear the defeat. He thought that how can Akshat not be successful as he has hard work and intelligence in his blood.

Amidst the pressure coming from all sides, Akshat prepared vigorously and the very next year not only passed the UPSC exam but also topped it. This year he got AIR 2.

Akshat is an IIT pass out

Akshat has studied from IIT before appearing in UPSC exam. He has graduated in Design from IIT Guwahati. One reason for not getting success in the first attempt was that Akshat had only three months time to prepare. Meanwhile, he prepared for the exam and gave it. The result was that he could not pass the exam. But instead of being disappointed by this, he took motivation and achieved success in his next attempt.

Got motivation from parents

Coming from a civil servant family has a disadvantage (that people have a lot of expectations from you) but it also has an advantage. Akshat also got the motivation to clear the exam from his parents. His parents always felt that there is happiness in serving others and not in any other work. Akshat also made this the aim of his life and traveled from IIT to becoming an IAS.
