IIT Madras Zanzibar will give admission to three times more students this time, preparations are like this for the new batch

IIT Madras Zanzibar Admission 2024 For New Batch: If you are thinking of taking admission in Indian Institute of Technology Madras Zanzibar, then there is good news for you. This time the institute is thinking of giving admission to more number of students. Under this, three times the number of candidates will be given admission in the new batch than before. This preparation is for the academic session of 2024-25. In the new batch that will come, more number of students will get admission.

New courses got good response

According to TOI report, the response from students regarding the courses launched by Indian Institute of Technology Madras Zanzibar 6 months ago is very good. In view of this, a plan is being made to admit three times the number of students in the second batch i.e. the second batch of the academic session 2024-25. According to the report, this information was given by Manas Pratim Gohain.

Two programs are currently running

At present two programs are running in IIT and there are preparations to start seven more undergraduate and master level programs here in the next three to four years. However, the response of the candidates for these two programs is also good. Let us tell you that IIT Madras Zanzibar started with two programs in August 2023.

These are four-year BS program and two-year M.Tech in Data Science and AI program. The intake of students for the academic session 2023-24 batch was 50 – 35. Of these, 15 were part of the Indian Undergraduate Program and 8 were part of the Indian Post Graduate Program. 22 students of the UG program were from Africa and about 40 percent were women.

So many applications were received for the first batch

About 500 applications were received for the first batch of Indian Institute of Technology Madras Zanzibar. According to the report, the director of the institute says that in the current situation, about 50 percent of the students are from India and the rest are from other countries. Now a permanent campus is to be built on which Rs 1500 crore will be spent.
