Unemployment Rate In Youth In Past Months: Our country is still struggling with the problem of unemployment. In some states the unemployment rate is high and in some it is low, but in almost every state the youth are worried about jobs. Recently a survey has been conducted in which it has been found that there are some states in which the maximum number of youth remain unemployed. The name of Himachal Pradesh comes at the top in this list. The highest unemployment rate was seen here among the youth aged 15 to 29 years (from July-September 2022 till now). After this, the next name in the list is Rajasthan, at the third place is J&K i.e. Jammu and Kashmir.
Which state has the lowest unemployment rate?
According to TOI report, the names of Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan are coming at the top of this list. These states remained at the bottom in the list, that is, they had the lowest unemployment rate. Their names are Gujarat and Delhi. This survey is for the current financial year, July-September 2022 quarter. These results have emerged in the Periodic Labor Force Survey.
How many states were surveyed?
A total of 22 states and union territories were surveyed in this survey. Of these, Gujarat and Delhi are the only two places where the unemployment rate is in single digits or is the lowest. Let us know how the overall results were.
What do the overall statistics say?
If we talk about the total unemployment rate, it was 17.3 percent in the September quarter in the age group of 15 to 29 years. Slightly less than the April-June quarter when it was 17.6. Along with this, the unemployment rate among the youth in Rajasthan was 27.7 percent. In Himachal Pradesh it was 25.3 percent. After this comes the name of Chhattisgarh where the rate was 24.9 percent.
