A 45-year-old man, whose case is the first successful bilateral hand transplant in Delhi.
He lost both his hands in a train accident in 2020. Coming from a deprived background, he was looking towards a dead end.
But miracles do happen. Meena Mehta, the former administrative head of a prominent school in south Delhi, who was declared brain-dead, came forward to help the 45-year-old man. During her lifetime, Ms Mehta had pledged to use her organs after her death.
