Organ Donation: Organ donation is seen as a great donation to the life of any needy person. If a person’s life is in danger due to the malfunction of any organ in his body, then a healthy person can save his life by donating his organs. Let us tell you that to promote organ donation in the country, the Central Government has launched an organ donation scheme called Ayushman Bhava, under which till now lakhs of people have taken a pledge to donate organs.
People are joining the glory of organ donation
To make this scheme fruitful in almost every state of the country, the government and administration are organizing many types of programs due to which people have come forward to help the needy by taking pledge for organ donation. Let us tell you that under organ donation, heart, liver, pancreas, small and large intestine, cornea and skin tissue can be donated. To fulfill the pledge of organ donation, the government has also created the Central Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization (NOTTO) portal through which people can join the organ donation campaign.
Organ donation campaign was started last year
President Draupadi Murmu officially started the organ donation campaign in September last year and till now 1,38,0599 people have pledged to donate organs. Let us know what story the figures of organ donation campaign i.e. Ayushman Bhava Yojana are telling so far. In this, 17487 people have said to donate tissues and 17072 people have said to donate organs. Among these people, 66155 are men and 72245 are women. If we talk about age after gender, then among those who have taken the pledge of organ donation, 35709 people are between the age of 18 to 30 years. There are 65865 people between the age of 30 to 45 years. Let us tell you that people above 60 years of age have also taken this pledge and their number among these figures is 6463.
Have resolved to donate these organs
According to the pledge for donation of organs, the number of people who have donated hearts is 93480. 98918 people have pledged to donate kidneys. 93950 people have said to donate liver. 85278 people have pledged to donate lungs. If we talk at the state level, Rajasthan is at the forefront in the campaign of organ donors. Here 34564 people have taken the pledge of organ donation. 25060 people of Maharashtra have taken the oath of organ donation. Madhya Pradesh is at third place and Karnataka state is at fourth place. In Uttar Pradesh, 2568 people have registered in this campaign, while in Uttarakhand, 3367 people have participated in this scheme. Let us tell you that under Ayushman Bhava scheme, any healthy person above 18 years of age whose organs are functioning properly can donate organs.
