Recently a positive change has been seen regarding organ transplantation in India. Where earlier there was a big difference between men and women in terms of organ transplant, in 2022 this difference has reduced to 2.36:1. This reform is the result of the Health Ministry’s various awareness programs and efforts to address the ethical aspects of organ donation.
Women’s share increased

This shows that the opportunities for organ transplantation for women have increased compared to before. Whereas earlier in 2021, only one woman got the opportunity for organ transplant for every four men, now that ratio has improved to 2.36:1.
