Everyone had withdrawn nominations
According to the information, many other people had also filed nominations for the elections on three Rajya Sabha seats in Delhi. However, all others who had filed nominations on Thursday had withdrawn their names. After this, Sanjay Singh, Swati Maliwal and ND Gupta were elected unopposed to Rajya Sabha. According to sources, the three leaders will get their certificates around 2 pm today.

Aam Aadmi Party has re-nominated Sanjay Singh for Rajya Sabha. At the same time, Narayan Das Gupta’s name has also been re-nominated. AAP had made Swati Maliwal its Rajya Sabha candidate in place of MP Sushil Kumar Gupta. Sushil Kumar Gupta has currently been made the party president of Haryana. According to the information, the party has asked him to focus on the elections to be held in the state.
