Mahua Moitra Row: The Lok Sabha Ethics Committee report recommending cancellation of membership of Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra in the case of asking questions while accepting expensive gifts, will be presented in the lower house on December 4. Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Choudhary has now come out in defense of Mahua Moitra on this matter. He has demanded a review of the proceedings of the committee. Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary, MP from Baharampur seat in Murshidabad district of West Bengal, has written a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla in this regard. On November 9, the committee had accepted the report by a majority of 6 to 4 recommending the expulsion of Mahua from the Lok Sabha in the case of asking questions while taking money.

Let us tell you that Supreme Court lawyer Jai Anant had accused Mahua of taking money and asking questions in Parliament. On the basis of this complaint, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey accused Mahua that Mahua asks questions by taking cash and expensive gifts.
