Delhi Air Pollution: On one hand, the cold is increasing in Delhi. On the other hand, air pollution is also increasing. A decline in AQI was seen in Delhi-NCR recently. But after Diwali, there is an increase in AQI again. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, AQI has been recorded above 400 in Anand Vihar, RK Puram, IGI Airport and Dwarka. AQI has been recorded at 447 in Anand Vihar, 465 in RK Puram, 467 in IGI Airport area and 490 in Dwarka. The air quality in Noida and Greater Noida also remains in the ‘very poor’ category.

AQI of Delhi

According to the data released by CPCB, 352 AQI has been recorded in Noida Sector 125, 314 in Knowledge Park 3. Whereas AQI 444 has been recorded in Gurugram Sector 51, Haryana. Let us tell you that AQI was recorded in Delhi at 419 on Thursday, 401 on Wednesday, 397 on Tuesday, 358 on Monday and AQI 218 on Sunday. At present, AQI was recorded at 376 in Ghaziabad, 363 in Gurugram, 340 in Greater Noida, 355 in Noida and 424 in Faridabad. Let us tell you that due to rain in Delhi, there was a decline in AQI. But once again air pollution has started increasing.

Let us tell you that AQI between 0-50 is considered good, 51 to 100 is satisfactory, 101 to 200 is moderate, 201 to 300 is poor, 301 to 400 is very poor, 401 to 450 is severe and 450 is severe. Above is considered very serious. Recently, a joint project was run by Delhi Government and IIT Kanpur. As a result, it was found that the contribution of vehicle emissions in the capital’s air pollution was 38 percent on Wednesday, which reduced to 25 percent on Thursday. On Thursday, Delhi Government Minister Gopal Rai said that a 6-member special task force has been formed to control air pollution in the national capital and ensure strict compliance with the lockdown.
