New Delhi: AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has given a controversial statement regarding Ram temple. He said that no political party is talking about the heinous criminal act of demolishing the centuries-old mosque on December 6.

What else did Owaisi say?

Owaisi said, ‘Shiv Sena UBT’s Uddhav Thackeray had recently said that the inauguration of the temple in Ayodhya was his father’s dream. The inauguration of the temple was a matter of national pride. But no political party is talking about the heinous criminal act of demolishing a centuries-old mosque on December 6. Now the whole conversation is about whether they will join it or not.

Owaisi said, ‘The message for Indian Muslims is clear. In today’s India we are expected to know our worth. We are expected to silently agree.

Owaisi said, ‘The dreams of one or two fathers are meaningless. We became an independent republic because of the dreams and struggles of millions of our ancestors. It is shameful that a grave criminal act has been elevated to a moment of national pride.’

He said, ‘December 6 is a black day for Indian democracy. This is a dark day for the values of our freedom movement. This is a dark day for the rule of law.
