After the ban on Muslim League in Jammu and Kashmir, now Tehreek-e-Hurriyat (TeH) has also been banned. This organization has been declared an ‘unlawful association’ under UAPA. This organization is involved in prohibited activities to separate Jammu and Kashmir from India and establish Islamic rule. This group is spreading anti-India propaganda and continuing terrorist activities to promote separatism in Jammu and Kashmir. The Home Ministry has declared the party an ‘unlawful association’ under UAPA. Home Minister Amit Shah has shared this information on his official X handle.

Amit Shah wrote on his X handle that PM Modi has a zero-tolerance policy against terrorism, so any person or organization found involved in anti-India activities will be immediately thwarted.

Muslim League was also banned

Earlier on Wednesday (December 27), the central government had banned the Muslim League Jammu Kashmir-Masrat Alam faction (MLJK-MA). The government took this action under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA). The organization is accused of having its members involved in terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir and supporting terrorist groups. This information was given by Union Home Minister Amit Shah through social media.

He wrote on social media platform “This organization and its members are involved in anti-national and separatist activities in Jammu and Kashmir, support terrorist activities and incite people to establish Islamic rule in Jammu and Kashmir.”
