Who is Anish Dayal Singh?
The new CRPF chief Anish Dayal Singh is a 1988 batch IPS officer of Manipur cadre. In the order issued by the Centre, he has been appointed as the Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) till his retirement on December 31, 2024 or until further orders. He was currently holding the charge of ITBP. He was also holding the additional charge of CRPF after the retirement of S L Thaosen on November 30.

According to the order issued by the Central Government, Vivek Srivastava, a 1989 batch IPS officer of Gujarat cadre, will be the Director General of Fire Services, Civil Defense and Home Guards.
