‘BJP has no issue, PM Modi is provoking people in the name of religion’: CM Ashok Gehlot

Rajasthan Election: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Friday (November 10) expressed objection to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement in Udaipur. PM Modi had said that the Congress government which sympathizes with terrorists will destroy Rajasthan. On this, Ashok Gehlot has said that PM Modi is provoking people in the name of religion. The Prime Minister does not know the right thing in the Kanhaiya Lal case that happened in Udaipur. He is making catchphrases.

Prime Minister Modi said that the environment of Rajasthan is in favor of our people. Our plans are being discussed across the country. BJP does not have any issue. There is no substance in BJP’s allegations. Assembly elections are going to be held in Rajasthan in the fourth week of this month. The people of Rajasthan are going to vote on 25th November, while the counting of votes will be done on 3rd December. Like every time, this time too there will be a contest between Congress and BJP in Rajasthan.

What did PM Modi say on which Gehlot got angry?

While addressing a public meeting in Udaipur, Prime Minister Modi said, ‘There is a Congress government here, due to which terrorist organizations like PFI are holding rallies without any hesitation. A Congress government that is sympathetic to terrorists will ruin Rajasthan. He said, ‘Will we allow Rajasthan to be ruined? News of displacement of poor is coming from different parts of Rajasthan. If the Congress government remains in place, this is going to increase even more.

What did Ashok Gehlot say?

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot objected to the PM’s statement. He said, ‘Someone has misled the PM or he has not been briefed properly. The kind of language he has used is objectionable in a democracy. Either the PM is nervous because of the atmosphere in Rajasthan and is giving such statements.

Regarding Kanhaiya Lal murder, CM said, ‘BJP people had killed Kanhaiya Lal. We had caught the killers of Kanhaiya Lal within two hours. But still NIA took the case in its hands on the same day. But we did not object to this. He said, ‘Now NIA should come forward and tell what happened in the case. I request the PM not to use such language. We are fighting elections on ideology. Let it remain that way.
