Protests continue after DMK MP DNV Senthilkumar’s controversial statement in the Lok Sabha regarding Hindi speaking states. Along with BJP, many Congress leaders have also opposed Senthilkumar’s statement. Senthilkumar had termed the states of the Hindi belt in the Parliament as ‘cow urine states’, due to which a lot of uproar started. What did Senthilkumar say?
DMK MP Senthilkumar had said in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday that the people of this country should think that the power of BJP to win elections is only in the Hindi belt states which we generally call cow urine states. Senthilkumar further said that “AAP ( BJP) cannot come to South India. You see what were the election results in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
Acharya Pramod Krishnam got angry
Congress leader Acharya Pramod Krishnam is furious over DMK MP DNV Senthilkumar’s comment on cow urine. He said, “If the same actions of DMK leaders continue and they keep spewing such nonsense against Sanatan Dharma, then the BJP flag will be hoisted not only in cow urine states but also in bull states.”
Senthilkumar gave clarification
Seeing the growing controversy over the statement given in the Lok Sabha, DMK MP Senthilkumar has issued a clarification. He said that I had given some statement inside the House. The Home Minister and BJP members were there at that time. I have used it in my Parliament speeches before also. This was not a controversial statement. If it makes anyone feel bad then I will try to avoid using it next time. I will use some other words to explain where BJP is strong in getting votes.
