Champai Soren received invitation to form government, will take oath on Friday

Ranchi: Political suspense is over in Jharkhand. Governor CP Radhakrishnan has invited Champai Soren for swearing-in. Champai Soren will take oath as the CM of Jharkhand on Friday. They will have to prove majority within 10 days. The Governor called Jharkhand Mukti Morcha legislature party leader Champai Soren and Congress leader Alamgir Alam to Raj Bhavan late at night and invited Champai Soren to form the government.

Before this, there was a lot of political activity in Jharkhand. Champai Soren met the Governor in the evening and urged him to accept his claim to form the government as soon as possible. Champai Soren later said that the Governor assured the JMM-led alliance delegation that he would soon take a decision on the matter. After meeting the Governor at Raj Bhavan, Champai Soren had said that we requested the Governor to take a decision as soon as possible because there is no government in Jharkhand for more than 20 hours.

Preparations were made to send MLAs to Hyderabad

Not only this, to keep the alliance MLAs united, preparations were made to send them to Hyderabad by chartered plane. All the MLAs were brought to the airport by bus. The MLAs of the alliance had boarded the chartered plane but at the last moment they were told that the plane could not take off due to dense fog. Hence the flight was canceled and the MLA returned.

Earlier, Hemant Soren was arrested by ED on Wednesday night after seven hours of interrogation in a money laundering case. He had resigned from the post of Chief Minister before his arrest. After this Champai Soren was elected leader of JMM Legislature Party. Champai Soren had said that we are united. Our alliance is very strong; No one can break it. A video released by the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha-led alliance also showed the support of 43 MLAs in the 81-member Jharkhand Assembly.
