Thiruvananthapuram: The round of attacks and counter-attacks between Congress and the government in Kerala has been going on for a long time. State Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Friday claimed that the Congress-led alliance UDF is upset with the widespread public support the ‘New Kerala Sadas’ are getting. He also alleged that the Congress leadership is creating violent mentality among its workers. He urged the opposition party to improve its attitude towards the ambitious public relations program of the government for the progress of the state.
‘Thousands of people are reaching the venue’

He said that people will not stop participating in this contact program due to the destruction of a large number of banners and boards of the program by the opposition youth organizations. The Chief Minister was speaking at a press conference in Kattakkada on the sidelines of this program. He said, ‘The new generation is giving a lot of support to the state government. This support is troubling many people.
‘Protesters were jumping in front of vehicles’
Vijayan said, ‘Neo Kerala Sadas is a reflection of the attitude shown by the Congress Party and its youth organizations since its inception. Initially the protesters were jumping in front of the vehicles, then they started throwing shoes at our bus and also started destroying boards and banners. Hundreds of boards and banners of Nav Kerala Sadas were vandalized in the state on Thursday and the day before. The Congress leadership is creating violent mentality among its workers. Only one day is left for Nav Kerala Sadas to end. My request to the opposition is to reform itself if possible.
