Cases of JN.1 variant of corona virus are continuously emerging across the country. According to PTI report, 40 new cases of JN.1 variant have been reported in different states of the country and the total cases have increased to 109. Due to these figures, memories of the chaos of Corona have started coming into the minds of people once again. However, the health department and the government are continuously saying that there is no need to worry due to this variant.
How many cases in which states?
Official sources of PTI informed on Wednesday that the JN.1 variant of corona virus has 36 cases in Gujarat, 34 in Karnataka, 14 in Goa, nine in Maharashtra, six in Kerala, four each in Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu and two in Telangana. Cases have come to light. He told that most of the patients are currently in quarantine at home.
No need to worry right now
Let us tell you that NITI Aayog Member (Health) Dr. VK Paul had said last week that the new variant is being closely monitored. He also stressed on the need for the states to speed up investigation and strengthen the monitoring system. Officials are saying that even though the number of cases is increasing and cases of JN.1 subtype have been reported in the country, there is no need to worry at the moment.
Corona cases in the last 24 hours
According to the information given by the Union Health Ministry, in the last 24 hours till 8 am on Wednesday, 529 new cases of corona were reported and the number of patients under treatment was recorded at 4,093. Three people have died due to virus infection. In the last 24 hours, two patients have died in Karnataka and one in Gujarat due to Covid-19. There has been a rise in cases of infection in recent days due to cold and the new form of corona virus. (input language)
