Curfew will still remain in Banbhulpura of Haldwani, 25 more miscreants arrested – India TV Hindi

Nainital: Police has taken major action in Haldwani violence case. The police team has identified 25 more miscreants and put them behind bars. The police have also recovered a large cache of weapons from the accused, including some cartridges looted from the police station. Talking about the arrest of the accused involved in this violence, Nainital SSP said that the accused have also been caught in Nainital district.

99 live cartridges looted from the police station were also recovered.

SSP Prahlad Meena said that most of the 25 accused have been arrested in Nainital district itself. 07 pistols, 54 live cartridges and 99 live cartridges looted from the police station have also been recovered from these accused. All these accused have been caught on the basis of CCTV installed at the spot. A total of 30 accused have been arrested so far in this Banbhulpura violence. Let us tell you that during the removal of encroachment in Banbhulpura, the miscreants pelted stones, set fire and fired on the police administration, Municipal Corporation and media personnel. Police have registered three separate FIRs (21,22,23/2024) in Banbhulpura police station regarding this incident.

Police caught these accused

According to the police, the accused named in FIR number 21/24 Junaid son of Aslam resident of Line has been arrested. One pistol and 12 cartridges were recovered from the accused. Also, 1 pistol and 08 cartridges have been recovered from the possession of Mohd. Nizam, son of Aslam, resident of Indranagar. Mehboob alias Maku son of Mukhtar Ahmed resident of Gafoor Basti Banbhulpura, 1 pistol, 06 cartridges, Shahzad alias Kanakada son of Dilshad resident of Indranagar, 1 pistol, 10 cartridges, Abdul Majid son of Abdul Khalid, Shajid son of Abdul Khalid, Mohd. Naeem son of Mohd. 1 pistol and 07 cartridges have been recovered from Faim, Shahnawaz son of Jumma. At the same time, Shakir Ahmed son of Shabbir Ahmed, Israr Ali son of Azgar Ali, Shanu alias Raja son of Mohammad Yakub, Raees alias Bittu son of Anees Ahmed have also been arrested in the case.

Apart from this, in case number 22/24, the police team seized 01 pistol with 05 cartridges from the possession of Gulzar Ahmed son of Sardar Ahmed, Raees Ahmed son of Abdul Hameed, Mohd. Farid son of Abdul Hameed, 01 pistol with 06 cartridges from the possession of Javed son of Abdul Hameed, Mohd. Saad son of Raees Ahmed, Mohd. Tasleem son of Mohd. Hanif have been arrested.

Meanwhile, in case number 23/24, Ahmed Hasan son of Mehndi Hasan, Shahrukh son of Mehboob, Arjana son of Irfan, Rehan son of Ashfaq, Jishan son of Hafiz Shakeel Ahmed, Muzammil son of Khalil, Majid son of Malik have been arrested.

The police administration further said that from Monday curfew will be in force only in Banbhulpura police station area, schools and Anganwadi centers in other areas will open from today. Along with this, essential services will also start. Apart from this, internet service is also being gradually restored in these areas. At the same time, Nainital and Bareilly highways have also been opened.
