DRDO successfully tests Akash weapon system

Indian Air Force has shown its strength strongly in Astrashakti 2023. In this program organized by the Indian Air Force, the Air Force has successfully tested the Akash weapon system. Giving information, DRDO said that 4 targets were destroyed in the air through Akash weapon system. According to DRDO, India has become the first country to achieve the capability to destroy four targets through a single firing unit under command guidance at that range. Talking about the trial, officials said that during the exercise, four targets came in close formation from the same direction and then split up and started attacking the defense assets simultaneously in different directions.

Akash weapon system is indigenous

Officials said the Akash weapon system was deployed with firing level radar, firing control center and two Akash air force launches. These launchers were equipped with 5 missiles. During this exercise, first the FLR detected the enemies in the air and then the Akash firing unit gave orders to destroy those targets in the air itself. After this the order was issued by the Commander, after which two Akash missiles flew into the air from two launchers. At the same time, orders were given to blow up the remaining two targets from the same launcher, after which a total of 4 missiles destroyed all four targets at a range of 30 km.

DRDO is doing wonders

Let us tell you that the Akash weapon system is indigenous. It has been created by Defense Research and Development Organization i.e. DRDO. In the last decade itself, it has been deployed in the Army and Air Force. At present, the repeat order for the system from which it was fired was given by the Air Force in September 2019. Let us tell you that many countries are eager to buy Akash Weapon System. DRDO is continuously upgrading and modernizing it. Earlier, DRDO had successfully tested the indigenous high-speed flying UAV, Autonomous Flying Wing Technology Demonstrator.
