Encounter with Naxalites in Chatra, Jharkhand, 2 policemen martyred and 3 injured – India TV Hindi

Naxalites suddenly started firing on the security forces.

Ranchi: An encounter took place between police and Naxalites in Chatra district of Jharkhand on Wednesday afternoon. In this, 2 soldiers of Jharkhand Police have been martyred, while 3 other soldiers have been shot. Some Naxalites are also said to have been shot. Martyred soldiers include Shukan Ram and Sikandar Singh. According to reports, Shukan was from Palamu in Jharkhand and Sikandar was from Bihar. Soldier Akash Kumar, who was injured by the bullet, was first brought to Chatra Sadar Hospital for treatment, but in view of his critical condition, he was later referred to Ranchi.

A squad of security forces was taken out for the search operation.

Two other soldiers Krishna and Sanjay were also injured in this encounter with Naxalites. SDPO Sandeep Suman has confirmed the encounter. It has been told that a squad of police and security forces had gone on a search operation in the Barrio forest on the border of Chatra Sadar police station and Jori police station, when the Naxalites sitting in ambush started firing. In response, the security forces also took a stand and opened fire, in which unconfirmed news is coming out that some Naxalites were shot. Security forces are still conducting search operations in the forest. Chatra Deputy Commissioner Abu Imran and SP have reached Chatra Sadar Hospital after receiving the news of martyrdom of soldiers.

Body of rewarded Naxalite was found in Chhattisgarh

Let us tell you that meanwhile, a big success has been achieved against Naxalites in Chhattisgarh. The body of Naxalite Chandana alias Satyam, carrying a reward of Rs 8 lakh, has been recovered in Dantewada after an encounter with CRPF and Bastar fighters. Just today the news came out that Naxalites have killed a person in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh. The man was identified as Mitcha Hadma. Hadma’s body was found on the road on the outskirts of her village Timapur under Basaguda police station area on Tuesday. A group of unknown Naxalites attacked him with an axe, due to which he died on the spot. (With IANS inputs)
