New Delhi: Security has been tightened at Singhu Border and Ghazipur Border in view of the ‘Delhi Chalo’ protest march called by farmer organizations. Police have barricaded the routes coming from Haryana to Delhi. Apart from this, roads have also been sealed when coming from UP to Delhi. Singhu border and Ghazipur border have been barricaded. The farmers, who have set up their base camp at Mahila Chowk village in Sangrur, have made preparations for their journey, including stocking up on essential food supplies. In the wake of the protests, Delhi Police on Monday banned large gatherings in the national capital till March 12 amid concerns of possible unrest and security issues over the farmers’ march. Talking about the barricades on Delhi borders, the farmers said that these measures will not stop them as they will “break the barricades in half an hour”.
