The farmers’ movement is continuing since February 13 on the call of United Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha. Marching towards Delhi, Kisan Andolan-2 reached Shambhu and Khanauri borders of Punjab and Haryana, where there was a clash between Haryana Police and farmers. During this time, 21 year old young farmer Shubhakaran Singh died. Shubhakaran’s funeral took place on 29 February. Today, the last Ardaas program took place in the young farmer’s native village Ballo, Bathinda. People gathered in large numbers expressed gratitude and tribute to the martyr.

Speaking on the occasion, farmer leaders Sarwan Singh Pandher and Jagjit Singh Dallewal said that the eyes of the Modi government should be opened after seeing the crowd of people from all over India and Punjab for today’s martyrdom ceremony. He said that the way tear gas was used indiscriminately on peaceful protesting farmers and laborers and the way rubber bullets were used against thousands of people suffering from asthma, chest pain and eye problems, 12 Bore rifles were used, SLRs were used, due to which one farmer was martyred, one lost an eye, Pritpal Singh was illegally detained and his legs were broken. More than 500 people were injured. It is clear that the Modi government is treating the farmers and laborers demanding their rights like the army of an enemy country. He said that this is unfortunate and attempts are being made to establish dictatorship in the country, but the people of the country will not allow this to happen.

He said that the sacrifice of Martyr Shubhakaran Singh will not go in vain and the struggle will continue until the Minimum Support Price (MSP) and Crop Purchase Guarantee Act, implementation of the Swaminathan Report, complete loan waiver of farmers and resolution of the entire charter of demands are not resolved. He said that instead of giving MSP, the main leaders of the opposition should talk about making a law on MSP and purchase guarantee.

Will take. He said that today the voice of the movement is echoing in the parliaments of foreign countries.
Making a big announcement regarding the future strategy of the Morcha, he said that on March 6, farmers, laborers and tribals from across the country will march to Delhi. This journey will be by trains and buses. The government says that the farmers should come without tractor-trolley, so we have decided that those who were coming to Delhi by trains and buses should now travel to Delhi. Making the second major announcement, he said that ‘Rail Roko’ demonstration will be held across the country on March 10, this rail stop demonstration will be from 12 noon to 4 pm.
