Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath spoke on many issues from the platform of India TV ‘Samvad’. In an interview given to Saurav Sharma on the platform of ‘Samvad’, CM Yogi openly discussed the construction of Ram Temple and the politics being done by the opposition parties on it. CM Yogi said that Gorakhith, of which he is also the Mahant, was involved in the Ram Mandir movement from the beginning. He said that his Gurudev Mahant Avaidyanath was one of the frontline warriors of this movement.

1: Even if he had not been CM, he would have worked for Ram temple: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that if the Ram Mandir movement had not happened, perhaps he would not have become a monk. However, he also said that even if he had not been the Chief Minister, he would have done the work of Ram Temple.

2: Delay in temple construction due to vote bank politics: CM Yogi said in an exclusive interview to India TV that if there was no vote bank politics, the temple issue would have been resolved earlier. At the same time, on the question of taking credit for the construction of the temple, he said that we are not taking credit for the temple but are leaving as Ram devotees.

3: Yogi also spoke on the role of Gorakh Peeth in the movement: Speaking on the role of Gorakhpeeth in the Ram Mandir movement, CM Yogi said, ‘It is my good fortune that my grandfather Digvijaynath Ji Maharaj and my Gurudev Avaidyanath Ji Maharaj were among the frontline warriors of this movement.’

4: This work would have been impossible if there was no Modi government: CM Yogi said, ‘Once again the concept of Ramlala and Ramrajya is being proved. The work of Ram temple was difficult, but it was a pre-planned blessing of the Lord. We are all part of that campaign. The construction work of Ram temple in Ayodhya would have been impossible if there was no Modi government at the Centre.

5: We are fortunate that we are partners in Ram’s work: On his role in the construction of Ram temple, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, ‘We will be present in the temple as devotees of Ram and servants of Ram. We are fortunate that we have become partners in Ramkaj. The time for the work which dozens of generations could not see has come after 400 years.

6: There was struggle for Ram temple more than 76 times: CM Yogi said that more than 3 lakh people were martyred for the Ram temple and there was conflict more than 76 times. He said, ‘People associated with the Ram Mandir movement used to come to Gorakhpeeth. Today, as a result, Ram temple is in front of everyone. Now I will be a witness to this historical moment, it is my good fortune.

7: Most of the attackers used to come to India for looting: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, ‘Shiva’s place is in Kailash Mansarovar. Parvati did penance in the south. That means India extends from Kailash to Kanyakumari. Yogi said that the country was facing foreign attacks for 2 thousand years. But they would bow down before the bravery of India. Most of the attackers used to come to India to loot.

8: Who has stopped the opposition parties from coming to Ram temple?: On the allegations of opposition parties doing politics over Ram temple, CM Yogi said, ‘Everyone including Congress, Samajwadi Party has received the invitation to the temple and who has stopped them from coming to the Ram temple? He should come as Ram’s servant. Whoever comes as Ram’s servant is welcome. We all have been associated with the Ram Mandir movement for a long time.

9: Would have been proud even sitting on the back seat: Targeting the opposition parties, CM Yogi said, ‘The public knows the character of the Samajwadi Party and other parties. If I had not been the CM, would I not have been involved in the Ram Mandir movement? I would have felt proud even sitting on the back seat. This is not the time to take credit. Ram is the Supreme Lord.

When elections come, Congressmen will wander from temple to temple. Those people are not able to understand the reality yet.
