Giriraj Singh wrote a letter to Nitish Kumar, said – like Yogi, you should also take these strict steps

Patna: Union Minister and BJP MP from Begusarai Giriraj Singh has written a letter to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar regarding the ban on Halal certified products in Bihar. He has demanded Bihar Chief Minister Nitish to ban Halal certified products on the lines of Uttar Pradesh. In the letter, Singh has written that Halal trade of many food items and other essential items like edible oil, snacks, dry fruits, sweets, cosmetic medicines and medical equipment is going on in the state of Bihar, whereas the certification related to the standards of such items is not done. For this only standards like FSSAI are valid.

‘Big conspiracy behind Halal certification’

Giriraj Singh has said in his letter that some organizations have become self-proclaimed in giving Halal certificate and are giving Halal certificate by paying huge amount to the companies manufacturing the goods. He also said that the fear that there is a big conspiracy behind Halal certification and business is not unfounded. He said, ‘In a secular democracy like India, halal business is not only against the Constitution but is also treason. According to a figure, the size of business activities related to Halal certification all over the world is about 2 trillion dollars and it is also coming to light that this form of economy is linked to terrorist activities.

Appreciated Yogi Adityanath in the letter

Giriraj Singh has said in the letter that there is a need for a thorough investigation into this matter. Praising Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, he has written that a ban has been imposed on the manufacturing, storage, distribution and sale of Halal certified food products in UP. At the end of the letter, Giriraj has said that like UP, I urge the Bihar government to take strict action and thoroughly investigate its involvement in socially discriminatory and terrorist activities. He has described the activities of Halal certification as a kind of Jihad.

Yogi government of UP had filed FIR

Let us tell you that the Uttar Pradesh government, taking a decisive step against illegally issuing ‘Halal Certificate’, had issued an order on Saturday banning Halal certified products. Yogi government said in a statement that in this case, FIR has also been registered against Chennai-based Halal India Private Limited, Delhi-based Jamiat Ulama Hind Halal Trust, Mumbai-based Halal Council of India, Mumbai-based Jamiat Ulama Maharashtra. At the same time, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has said that certification of food products should be done only by government agencies and it is not right to give certification by any non-government agency.
