Former Jharkhand CM and JMM leader Hemant Soren during appearance in PMLA court
Former Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren has got a big relief. Hemant Soren will appear in the floor test of Champhai government to be held on 5th February. Ranchi’s PMLA court has allowed former Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren to participate in the floor test. Let us inform that on January 31, he was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a money laundering case related to the alleged land scam. Meanwhile, the special PMLA court did not allow Hemant Soren to stay in jail at night due to security reasons.
Floor test to be held on 5th February
Let us tell you that the new government led by Champai Soren has to prove its majority by facing the trust vote in the House on 5th February. Champai took over the post of Chief Minister after the arrest of Hemant Soren. Advocate General Rajeev Ranjan said that ED expressed strong objection to the petition. Ranjan said, “We said that the matter has now come to light and the objective of the ED is not to conduct any investigation but to obstruct the formation of a new government or to topple the government.”
“ED had tried not to get permission”
Regarding this, JMM Central General Secretary cum Spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya said that the judiciary has taken the decision under the law. Hemant Soren will participate during the floor test. Hemant Soren will also be included in the future budget. ED had tried not to get permission but ED is a little more than the law. Will prove majority on the floor on 5th February. No MLA is going anywhere, everyone is together. Supriyo Bhattacharya said that BJP tries to cause division. BJP does low level work. Such people have become MPs against whom women players have made serious allegations.
Lobin Hembram said – these are mutual matters, will be resolved
When MLA Lobin Hembram was asked whether he would distance himself from JMM, is he resigning, is there any resentment? On this he said that he is a member of our family and the matter is mutual and will be resolved.
It is noteworthy that the alliance of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), Congress and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has 47 MLAs in the 81-member Jharkhand Assembly and is supported from outside by the lone CPIML(L) MLA.
